transmittal are included in the Monday handicap distribution.
There are occasions when players sign up on a Wednesday (or later) who are not official members (either new or renewed) and therefore are not included in the list sent to the course. Previously, this has been accommodated by extra activities involving course personnel and the ASGA Handicap Chairman. This will no longer be done.
For future tournaments: Players who sign up for a tournament and are not included in the Monday transmittal to the course are not official ASGA members and therefore not eligible to participate in the tournament. A handicap of zero (0) will be assigned to the player and if the player so chooses he/she can participate with that handicap. Once joining ASGA or renewing membership is completed the player will be included in the next Monday transmittal to the course. A temporary handicap index is provided for new members based on the member's own projection.
It's really quite simple: If a person wants to play in an ASGA tournament they should join or renew a week before they plan to play.
