PlayThru Is Now the Official Scoring System
Don’t forget starting this Tuesday (Nov. 3), PlayThru is now the official scorecard for ASGA events. A new link is posted to each week's event on the event page (one click away from attached link).
Recording Suggestion:
One person in the group should record the group's scores, while another person records the scores on the paper scorecard. If recording the scores on PlayThru is too cumbersome to do while on the course, enter the scores on PlayThru after the round is complete.
In the event of a PlayThru system malfunction:
The paper scorecard will serve as the official record. Take a picture of the scorecard and email it to the handicap chairman, Jim Sallade, (handicaps@austinsga.org), as a scorekeeper will no longer be staying at the course to collect the cards. Please indicate in the email why PlayThru was not able to be used, so we can address the issue. Emailed scorecards must be submitted before 6 PM on the day of the event. In the case where PlayThru is not used and an emailed scorecard is not received by 6 PM, the score will not be part of the day's event and the entry fee will be forfeited.
Paper scorecards, complete with scores AND the round start/finish times, should still be placed in the box at the course at the end of the round.

ASGA Board Meeting
This coming Thursday, Nov. 5, the new 2027 season Board will
convene for its first meeting. They will meet at Lions Muny Penick conference
room, beginning at 1:15 p.m. If you have suggestions for ASGA, send them to one
of the Board members, or attend. All members are welcome. If you plan to attend
in person, they ask that you let the President know, as the meeting space is
limited in size.
And...
Finally...a Jackpot Winner
Congratulations to Don Akers and Tom Walters for their holes in one on Kizer on September 20th!!! (Don's was on hole #13, Tom's on hole #15). It’s believed this is first time there have been TWO holes in one at the same event. Only Don was in the pool, so he took home the largest HIO jackpot ever....$670! The new jackpot is already over $460. Who's gonna take it?
