In case you missed it on Morning Drive on the Golf Channel, there was an interesting interview of a member of the "Save Muny" group, Ken Tiemann. Tiemann explained the group's reasons for advocating that Lions Golf Course be saved instead of turned into a more commercial property. The ASGA has not taken an official position on
the "Save Muny" initiative although it is common knowledge among the members that this is a project worth preserving based on its historical significance and its place in the Austin golf scene.
According ASGA President, Frank Segura, the Board of Directors is looking for the full support of the membership before officially sanctioning the "Save Muny" effort. "We are seeking membership support to move on this. A petition will be made available at the golf courses for members to sign in support," said Segura.
