Probably smarting from a near miss in
last year's race for the Team Grand Prix
championship, George Robbins and Frank Segura surged into the
lead in the team division with 108 points at about the half way mark
of this year's golfing schedule. Robbins and Segura were the first
recipients of the Team Championship in the 2014 inaugural season and
after a slow start in 2015 managed to get back into the top ten last
year before the season came to a close.
The team of Jerrwood Marshall and Ray
Harper is a close second
with 107 points after having led the Team standings for much of the current year. The second half of the season should proved to be a real battle between these two teams. Both teams are marginally higher than others on the Grand Prix list with the third place team of Alton Franklin and Wayne Patterson heading up a second line of teams with their total of 93.5 points. They are followed closely by Robert Stojanik and Ben Taylor with 92 points in fourth place.

Jim Abercrombie and Kenneth Lauber
are holding on to fifth place with 87 points while Don Visness and
Travis McWhorter, last year's runner-ups, sit in sixth place with 82
points. Domingo Santos and his partner, Gary Prott, with 81 points
are challenging for that sixth spot but have to hold off the team of
Don Davis and Wil Walther while doing so. Davis and Walther have 80
points.
Rounding out the top ten are Don Pratt
and Bob Remey in ninth place with 78.5 points and the tenth place
team of RH Harris and Jerry Newton with 76.5.
