PRESIDENT'S Last News Story Before the Banquet, Election and President's Cup at Morris Williams
October 6th will
be one of the most important days for ASGA members this year. First the annual
President's Cup will be played for bragging rights for either the red or blue
teams winning of the match play. Second we will have the Banquet (taco bar
meal.) Greg Marshall, our Event Chair, will be announcing a package deal this
year that includes play in the golf event and the meal. One package price for
both. Thirdly we will have the election
followed by awards and prize money distribution.
The nomination committee has
recommended to the board at our last meeting a slate of officers that were
unanimously approved by the board and these will be presented to the general
membership by me as we open the floor for nominees.

David Brader, ASGA Secretary/Treasurer, advises that the dues for 2027 for current members renewing by year end 2026 will be $20 and new members signing up for the next calendar year will be $25. In the event that any current members do not renew by year end they will be treated as new members when and if they do renew and will pay $25. When the new year arrives we will do our best to accommodate all those on the waiting list to join as we anticipate some current members not renewing before January 1, 2027.
For those of you reading this that do not plan to renew please let David know
now so he can begin to accept some on the waiting list. We would appreciate
your kindness.
David also plans to set up a
table after the banquet where you can pay him and renew your membership. This
is the way to go as it will make it not necessary to pay the extra fee for
processing on line and David is very generous of his time.
We look forward to seeing a
lot of you October 6. Greg will be providing more information soon and you will
be advised of which team you will be on after the cut off date of all combo tickets are counted and the teams
selected at a draft in advance of the actual date is conducted.
The rest of 2026 will be fun!
After all our goal is to grow golf in Central Texas and have fun doing it.
I am looking forward to
seeing you. It has been a pleasure to serve you as president this year.
Travis
