City of Austin Senior Membership Changes

ASGA President Frank Segura has received email from Kevin Gomillion, City of Austin Golf Division, on changes effective January 01, 2016.  Key items affecting ASGA members are:

•  5% increase to Senior Annual Membership; now $520.00
• $0.50 increase to daily use surcharge (with Senior Annual Membership); now $3.00
• Includes Jimmy Clay, Morris Williams, Lions and Hancock Golf Courses
• Senior classification  age is dropping to 60 (ASGA remains at 62)

The letter did not address daily green fees or cart charges (i.e., without the Senior Membership).

In addition to the above, Travis Eckert, ASGA Austin Parks & Rec representative notes thataccording to information he has received from the City of Austin, members who want to use the disability flag for cart usage will have to present documentation and/or license showing eligibility for Americans With Disabilities  ACT (ADA) requirements.
