Ed Emunds wins contest for second time

With one tournament to go in the Cleanest Scorecard Contest, Ed Edmunds received his Christmas gift a few days early by winning the cleanest card award at the December 22nd ASGA event held at Morris Williams Golf Course. Edmunds was keeping the scorecard of Don Pratt and Bob Remey. Edmunds is the third two-time winner of the
contest, joining Don Visness and  Roy January as the only golfing scorekeepers to do so since the inauguration of the event back in the late Spring.
The contest is the brainchild of Travis McWhorter, Vice-President of the ASGA, and chairman of the program. McWhorter indicated that the contest is going very well. "When David (Woodberry) called me with the result it was before 5 PM Tuesday which is a great indication of how the cleaner scorecards overall has made closing the tournament so much quicker. David also advised me that though a few (scorekeepers) still "kinda scribble" the clear majority of the cards are very good and that makes it hard to pick a winner. We have only one more tournament in this current contest and we will let it rest for while to see if our great cards continue."
