(The following are the stated changes presented and implemented by the ASGA Board of Directors for 2016.)
In order to improve the fiscal management and your golfing experience via the association it is necessary to make some changes to the existing registration process beginning with the 2016 Fiscal Year.
First, be aware that the ASGA Fiscal Year is November 1 thru October 31. Most of the members don’t think about paying dues until January and some dues are still rolling in thru
April and beyond. This creates hardships on the tournament organizers (Handicap Chairman, Golf Course Staff, as well as your Secretary-Treasurer).
The board is implementing the following changes effective November 1, 2015.
- Golf courses will not accept registration after December 31, 2015: After this date, forms and pre addressed envelopes with the name and address of the Secretary-treasurer will be available and you will have to complete the process via mail for all renewals after Dec. 31, 2015.
- There will be a late payment assessment of $5.00 for all renewals after Dec. 31, 2015: If dues are not paid by Dec. 31, member will not be allowed to play until dues are paid.
- PayPal will still be available: The registration fee remains at $10.50
- Live sign up at the course: Board members will be periodically available at the courses to accept registrations.
- New this year: Ability to sign up, via credit card, at the course.
