Don Akers is on a roll! Back in September Akers broke the bank with a hole-in-one shot that earned him $445. It seems that Akers can also handle a pencil as well as a golf club. Thursday, the Morris Williams staff chose Akers as the Cleanest Scorecard winner for last Tuesday's 4-man tournament held at MoWillie.
Travis McWhorter, the ASGA board member in charge of the program, has sent Akers and his playing companions, Steve Darby, Steve Ellis, and Bill LaTulipe, a certificate for a bucket of range balls.
McWhorter continues to promote the contest and comments each week on the success of the program as seen by the statements from the different staffs at the city courses. The city course staffers continue to be excited and grateful at the response and of the improved scorecards.
